Yes — Some appointments are mandatory:

•     Statutory Auditor - CA: Mandatory for every Indian company. The company has to appoint a practicing Chartered Accountant. Mandatory from the time of incorporation. Audit is required even if the company has zero turnover.

•     Company Secretary - CS: Mandatory for companies with paid-up capital of over Rs 5 crores. For companies with less than Rs 5 crores, you can retain a practicing Company Secretary for filing the ROC returns.

•     Tax Consultant/CA for GST & ITR: Not mandatory, but essential. Indian tax laws are complex. Getting the ITR wrong can cost you dearly.
