Yes, Every person who has been assigned a PAN and is qualified to receive an Aadhaar number must inform the Income-tax Department of his Aadhaar number. The Income-tax Act permits the interchangeability of Aadhaar and PAN if PAN and Aadhaar have been connected, which means that a person may use his Aadhaar when his PAN is required to be mentioned or vice versa. As a result, a person who has linked their Aadhaar and PAN can log in to the e-filing platform using their Aadhaar number instead of their PAN.
